Wheat Weaving House Blessing

From our friend Carol, The Wheat Weaver in Dover, England.

We love this House Blessing. It represents a heart and is woven from specially grown heritage wheat. Once used to ensure a good harvest, today they're placed in homes to bring blessings and happiness.

 A wonderful housewarming gift, or a charming grace note for your own home. We have one hanging in the hallway at FieldDay HQ - it's like a little piece of wall art!

The Wheat Weaver is one of only a handful of remaining straw weavers in England. All weavings are handcrafted, using methods passed down through generations of weavers. Some of the designs have been made for hundreds of years. 

Like all dried plants, wheat is brittle. Some minor shedding of husks is normal with handling. Once in its place, the item will last for years with only an occasional dusting.

Whilst this piece will last for many years it is ultimately biodegradable and therefore ecofriendly!
