Summertime at FieldDay!

Summertime at FieldDay!

Summer has arrived in our beautiful country and all of us at FieldDay are over the moon (especially the two Americans who crave the sun all year round!). We all love being able to get outside at HQ for our coffee and lunch, do outdoor team fun days, and feel inspired for all that is coming for FieldDay (there's a lot!!).

We thought it would be fun to give you a little look at a few of our (the office ones) ideal summer days out in Ireland, if you're looking to feel inspired for your next adventure!

Jen: 'I think one of my favourite days would be a drive to Nendrum, explore the ruins and have a picnic in the peace and quiet there. We would head to Strangford, hop on the ferry to Portaferry for icecream, and take the beautiful coast road past Kearney, collect massive seashells in Portavogie, stopping off for chips in Donaghadee (avoiding greedy seagulls in Bangor) then home.. If I had my choice of soundtrack for this particular drive, it would be Van Morrison 😊"

Abby: “My perfect summer day is a trip to Ballycastle- coffee and (the best) pastries at Ursa Minor and a trip to the beach (the most beautiful undiscovered beach on the north coast!) Then we’d drive to Bushmills for a late lunch toastie at Mini Maegden and finish the day with a pint of Guinness in the sun at the Bushmills Inn. Yes, all of my days revolve around food and drink!”

Sarah: “My ideal day would be spent driving around the Dingle peninsula- We would start out with a stop at Inch Beach and then head into Dingle town for a quick ice cream at Murphy’s (I’d have a scoop of Dingle Sea salt and one of Irish brown bread). We’d continue along the peninsula stopping to hold a baby lamb and to walk or swim at Coumeenoole and Clogher beaches. From there, we would take the harrowing journey through Conor Pass to Brandon where we would have dinner and pints sitting out at the pier at Murphy’s Bar.”

Nicola: "One of my favourite summer day trips would be packing up a picnic and heading to Gosford Forest Park with the bikes. We would explore the numerous trails, picnic, and visit all the different play parks- which are fantastic! After this a lovely coffee and sweet treat or/and ice-cream would be enjoyed! To finish our day we'd get a takeaway for dinner- because who wants to cook after a day out!"

We're closing up FieldDay HQ Friday and Monday for the holidays- if you're off too, we hope you feel inspired and have a lovely weekend! ❤️❤️

Love,

Team FD x
